According to recent trends, ‘pop girls’ are making a comeback.
The rise of artists such as Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Tate McRae, and Carpenter are leading the charge.
Carpenter is renowned not only for hit records, including ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please,’ but also her stage presence.
The 25-year-old goes beyond for her live shows, with an array of backdrops, dances, and costume changes.
But Carpenter’s recent performance at the BRIT Awards left some viewers horrified.

Taking to social media to discuss Carpenter’s performance, one person said: “This is far too much for the BRITs.”
“She is a role model for so many young girls and is s**ualizing herself so much,” another commented.
Somebody else typed: “Families watch this award show. I watched it with my mom and was so embarrassed.”

A fourth wrote: “Sabrina Carpenter has a lovely voice and is a stunning woman. Why on earth does she feel the need to open her legs? It’s like watching live p***ography. It’s supposed to be a family show!”
“There’s a way to portray s**uality properly in music/performances, but Sabrina Carpenter is just distasteful and vulgar,” remarked a fifth.

The BRIT Awards is an annual celebration showcasing the music industry in the U.K. This year saw wins from artists including Charli XCX, Raye, Chappell Roan, Jade Thirlwall, and Carpenter snatched the award for Global Success.
The ‘Feather’ singer took centre stage at The O2 in London, opening the BRIT Awards while sporting a red sparkly military-style blazer dress.

She walked down the venue’s isle, waving a Union flag as performers dressed as king’s guard soldiers followed behind.
After removing the military blazer, Carpenter switched into red sparkly lingerie as she performed her hit ‘Bed Chem.’
One particularly controversial moment saw her kneeling in front of a male dancer, who winked at the camera before Carpenter disappeared offscreen.
